Hunza "Diet" Bread v.1
Ingredients: 2c. Water 2lbs. Natural Buckwheat or Millet Flour 0.75c. Organic Canola or Corn oil 0.75c. Unrefinded Sugar (organic if possible) 8oz. Organic honey 8oz. Organic black strap molasses 2oz. Organic powdered milk 1tsp. Organic sea salt 2tsp. Organic cinnimon 2tsp. Organic ground nutmeg 1tsp. Baking powder (non-aluminum) 1.5-2c. Organic raisins 1c. Chopped organic walnuts
Serving Suggestions: Serve 1 square with 2 tbsp. organic yogurt for a good between-meal snack or light breakfast. | Directions: *Preheat oven to 300 degrees. *Grease and lightly flour 2 Pampered Chef Stoneware Bar Pans. *Mix all ingredients. (I recommend first mixing the dry ingredients, then the wet, then add the nuts & raisins.) *Divide evenly between 2 pans. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour, then drop heat to 170 degrees and bake for 75 minutes. *Let cool. Cut each pan into 24 equal squares (4x6). |
